Alex Storer is a digital artist, illustrator and electronic musician.
A lifelong passion for science-fiction art came to fruition in 2010, when Alex started working on his own digital paintings. His artwork often goes hand-in-hand with his music, featuring on most of his album covers.
Alex has been producing electronic instrumental music under the name of “The Light Dreams” since 2006. What started out as a personal hobby gradually evolved into something he was confident in releasing independently, and he now has a growing discography of atmospheric and thought-provoking albums.
Examples of Alex’s cartoon illustration were featured in two internationally published books on drawing comic art in 2003. In 2011, his H.G. Wells-inspired painting entitled “Awakening” was included in the exhibition Brave New Worlds, in Richmond-Upon-Thames. In 2012, he composed an original soundtrack to space artist David A. Hardy’s English edit of 1957 Russian film, Road to the Stars. Later that same year he was invited to join the Institute for Interstellar Studies™ as ‘honorary interstellar musician’.
An avid science-fiction reader, Alex regularly finds inspiration for both his art and music in literature.
